Installation
Licensing & activation
- Can I use Audio Spices plugins in commercial releases? Yes. Everything you make with our plugins is yours to release and earn from: no royalties, no extra license and no credit needed.
- Activate on a new machine Download and install the plugin, open it in your DAW, then start activation. It opens our site, you sign in, and the license redeems to this computer. No serial numbers.
- Activated on the website, but the plugin still says it isn't The plugin picks up a browser activation by checking back while it's open. Retry from the plugin, restart your DAW, or use offline activation.
- Activate Drum Spice Drum Spice is one plugin made by two companies, CELEST DSP and Audio Spices. Your purchase opened an account with both, under your email, so you just activate each section once.
- Set, reset, or change your password No password yet, or forgot it? Use 'Forgot?' on the sign-in page to set one by email. Already know it and want a new one? Change it in your account.
- Activate a computer with no internet No connection on your studio machine? Save its machine file, make a license file on any online device, and drag it back onto the plugin.
- Move a license to another computer Install on the new machine and activate with the same account. Decommissioning an old one? Deactivate it first.
- Lost your license, or can't activate? Nothing to lose: your license lives in your account. Re-download anytime, or email us if activation fails.
- Free trial & “Buy Now” Every plugin can be tried free for 7 days in your own projects. When the trial ends, a Buy Now dialog unlocks it permanently.
Compatibility
Troubleshooting
- Plugin doesn't appear / scan fails Rescan, confirm the format is enabled, check the scan paths, and on Mac, clear the AU cache.
- Crash or “failed validation” on load Update to the latest build, re-run the installer to clear the AU cache + quarantine, and send us the details.
- Anise: Low Latency mode Anise can run at zero reported latency (default) or let your DAW compensate for perfect dry/wet alignment. Leave it ON to track, turn it OFF to mix.
- Ginger: latency & keeping the pattern on the grid Ginger adds zero latency. If the chops drift off the beat, it's almost always a high-latency plugin sitting before Ginger on the same track. Here's how to line it up.
- Ginger: common questions See which letter is which, how long a phrase can be, which characters play, and what Ginger can't do.
- Presets: saving and where they live Browse factory presets from the top bar, Save As to make your own. They're shared across all your DAWs.
- Drum Spice: common questions Where your Drum Spice license lives, why there are two accounts, presets, offline use and installing on Windows.
