Where the plugins install
The installer drops each plugin into the standard system folders, so every DAW finds it automatically.
Audio Spices installers put each plugin in the standard system plugin folders, so any DAW that scans those locations picks them up on its next rescan.
macOS
- VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
- Audio Unit (AU): /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
- AAX (Pro Tools): /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/
Windows
- VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\
- AAX (Pro Tools): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\
On Windows, each plugin's own installer has a Select Components page that lists VST3 and AAX (for Pro Tools). Both are ticked by default, whether you choose Full or Custom installation. If you use Pro Tools, keep AAX ticked.
After installing, restart your DAW and rescan plug-ins. On macOS the installer also clears the Audio Unit cache so Logic and GarageBand re-scan cleanly.
