Plugin doesn't appear / scan fails

Rescan, confirm the format is enabled, check the scan paths, and on Mac, clear the AU cache.

If a plugin isn't showing up after install, work through these in order:

Restart your DAW and trigger a full plugin rescan (most DAWs have a rescan / clear-cache button in preferences).
Confirm the format is enabled in your DAW, for example that you're looking under VST3 vs AU. Logic only shows AU; Pro Tools only AAX.
Check the standard plugin folder is in your DAW's scan paths (see “Where the plugins install”).

macOS: force an AU rescan

Quit your DAW, delete the folder ~/Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache, then reopen your DAW. Our installer does this automatically, but a manual clear can help.
