Salt - Compressor
A FET-style compressor cut from the cloth of the classic 1176 - fast as a whip, with a program-dependent release that lets vocals sit and drums lean forward.
Input and output transformer saturation bracket the signal path, and the gain-reduced stage runs through an asymmetric FET nonlinearity for familiar even-harmonic warmth. Five knobs, one job: glue.
